THE VILLA

Las Banderas is a fully renovated Mediterranean villa set on a quiet street in Elviria, Marbella East. Designed around warm materials and a quietly curated collector's eye, the home combines soft plaster walls, antique wooden doors and arched passages to create an atmosphere that feels both grounded and refined.

The villa unfolds across two levels, with four bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms and open living spaces that flow onto a 150 m² terrace built around a sweeping tiled lap pool. Every room has been considered down to the smallest detail, from hand-selected antiques to bespoke joinery, designed for a life spent as much outdoors as in.

THE POOL

A ribbon of green-glazed tile

The pool is the villa's defining gesture, a long green-tiled lap pool that runs the length of the terrace beneath a whitewashed arched loggia. Sunken steps, a built-in lounge platform and mature palms give it the character of a private resort.

Whether for morning laps or evening drinks by the water, it anchors outdoor life at Las Banderas from the first light of day to the last.

"Open living spaces flow onto a 150 m² terrace built around a sweeping tiled lap pool."

THE ENTRANCE

A gallery before the front door

Guests arrive through a pair of reclaimed wooden doors, framed by a wall of niches displaying hand-thrown pottery and antique vessels. A palm-lined stone path leads there past sculptural agaves and banana leaves.

It sets the tone for the whole villa: warm, considered and quietly collected, long before the front door even opens.

INTERIOR

Soft plaster and warm wood

Inside, soft plaster walls, arched doorways and travertine detailing set a calm, tactile backdrop throughout. Latticed wooden wardrobe doors, woven pendant lights and hand-carved side tables bring warmth and texture to every bedroom.

A palette of warm neutrals runs from room to room, broken by leopard-print linens, patterned rugs and dark wood furniture that give each space its own quiet character.

A COLLECTOR'S EYE

Objects with a story

Throughout the villa, tribal wood carvings, aged clay urns and hand-thrown pottery are displayed like a private collection, set into niches, shelves and consoles rather than tucked away. Each piece adds age and character to the otherwise pared-back interior.

The result feels less like a renovated villa and more like a home assembled over years of careful searching, the layered spirit that defines Las Banderas.

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

Elviria's villa streets

Away from its beachfront apartments, Elviria is equally known for its quiet streets of low-rise villas, set behind mature gardens and pine trees just minutes from the coast. It is one of Marbella East's most established addresses for those seeking privacy and space without leaving the sea behind.

Golf courses, international schools and everyday amenities sit close by, while the beach and its chiringuitos remain an easy walk away, the balance that has long made Elviria a favourite among villa owners.
